Hygiene Education to 197 HIv children

The importance of this project was to visit 197 HIV children in their homes and teach/review with them hygiene basics.  We spent about five to seven minutes stressing why we all need to wash our hands constantly, brush our teeth, take care of our cuts and bruises, and to drink lots of water.

Each child also received a small hygiene care package that included: a bar soap, a hand towel, a box of Band-Aids, a toothbrush, a large toothpaste, a water bottle, and for fun a drawing book and coloring pencils.  The families helped earn less than $100 a month.

The project took five days to complete, with a total cost of $831.
