Reusable Hygiene Pads
Our volunteers thought a local all girls Peruvian high school (487 students) how to make/sew their own reusable hygiene pads by hand & by machine. Mission McNeill provided all the fabric, string, needles, etc. to make over 2,000 reusable hygiene pads for all the students. Each student made at least four pads for themselves.
The project was a huge success!! The student's family average income is around $290 per month. Some of the students then present the idea in a state fair to educate other students/schools.
The total project cost was $1,594.
