upgraded cooking area
Vesa Van Elementary School is located in a rural community outside of Siem Reap, Cambodia and has 609 students. To support all the children, the school has daily morning and afternoon classes.
To help the school, we significantly upgraded their primitive cooking area! It's now much bigger, more hygienic and safer. Interestingly, because it gets so hot in Cambodia the school's preference was not to build the walls higher. Additionally, we gave them two large metal shelves, 610 bowls and spoons and multiple cooking supplies. The project was a huge success and is being used twice a day!
Total project cost was $1,403 and took about 7 days to complete.
